11.00 Carlisle Intelligence and tools – What does the data tell us about our city?
Prof Frank Peck (Director of the Centre for Regional Economic Development) on the Carlisle Economic Potential Report and Dr Emma Graham (Information & Intelligence Manager) on the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.

This session will provide the opportunity to understand the information and intelligence behind the Carlisle District. We’ll find out what the data and evidence tells us and how it can be used. We hope that this information will be useful to those submitting funding applications.
11.30 Priority focus panel discussion (facilitated by Mike Zeller - BBC Radio Cumbria)
We will be joined by members of the partnership representing some of the key priority areas to discuss some of the issues, challenges and opportunities within the district

Caring for Life Booklet

This booklet was designed and made by members of the Carlisle Youth Council. It was made as a result of the Make your mark ballot. The Make your mark ballot is a nationwide ballot of young people, they vote on various issues that affect them every September. This year 2,867 young people in Carlisle voted. As a youth council we campaign on the top three issues young people vote for. Curriculum for life is one of those issues, it is an information booklet for young people produced by young people. It has information and guidance on various topics that will be useful to know throughout their lives.
